1. Information We Collect

TruckShield collects minimal personal information:

  • Waitlist submissions: Email address, name (optional), fleet size (optional), and compliance pain point (optional) when you join our Compliance Concierge waitlist.
  • Tool data: The Medical Card Tracker and Pre-Trip Checklist tools store data exclusively in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
  • Analytics: We may use privacy-preserving analytics to understand aggregate site usage (page views, general traffic patterns). We do not use tracking cookies for advertising.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Email addresses collected via waitlist forms are used only to notify you when Compliance Concierge launches and to send relevant compliance information you've opted into.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
  • We may use Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) to manage email communications. Brevo's privacy policy applies to data processed through their platform.

3. Data Storage

  • Waitlist email addresses are stored securely in our email service provider (Brevo) and in our Cloudflare-hosted database.
  • Tool data (medical card dates, checklist states) is stored only in your browser's localStorage on your device. We never access, transmit, or store this data.
  • We do not use cookies except for essential site functionality (e.g., dismissing the alert banner). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

4. Data Retention

Waitlist email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. You can unsubscribe from any email we send or contact us to delete your data.

5. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

  • EU/UK residents (GDPR): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, and data portability.
  • California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete, and the right to opt-out of sale (we do not sell personal data).

6. Security

We use HTTPS for all data transmission. Our infrastructure is hosted on Cloudflare Pages with security best practices applied. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure.

7. Third-Party Links

TruckShield links to official government sites (FMCSA, state DOT agencies) and other external resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
